Does a TENS unit work with phantom pain?
I'm a left BK amputee and have had phantom sensation to pain since the amputation 4 years ago. The pain reduced for about 6 to 8 months then stayed the same since.  I can deal with it throughout the day but have more trouble with pain after a physical workout or at night, when I slow down.  The sensation...crap

Getting ready to have a metatarsal amputation of mmy right foot due to extreme pain from Diabetic Neuropathy, I was wondering if any one here on the forum has had this procedure? I would like to hear about recovery and problems? I am on Dilaudid IM and they say I should be able to come off the narcotics...crap
