Have a meal consisting of mostly carbohydrates by 7pm the night before your race.

Nutrition

60/20/20.

While training, aim at eating a balance of 60% healthy carbohydrates, 20% lean protein, and 20% healthy fats.

Eat before your workout.

For long workouts (90+ minutes), aim at eating half your lean body weight (in pounds) worth of carbohydrates grams for every hour.

Refuel.

For every hour beyond 90 minutes, aim at eating 1/2 gram of carbohydrates and up to 1/8 gram of protein per pound of lean body weight.
