I am Lois, and i have been on a up,down battle,Actually i lost intrest in my diet, i wanted to eat my mashed potatoes and gravy and chocolate cake, and cheeseburgers, and it failed on me, i am now 230 pounds, was 234 a week ago, but i find it so hard. I have copd/enphylsema,High blood pressure,depression,acid reflux, and i want to get rid of all of this.Doctor said i better watch it so here i am fighting this bad thing that seems to have a hold on me.I got someAcaiBerrymax, to see if it could help me a little, it dose give me a little boost of energy.Can anyone tell me if they have tried it?i am not eatting anything white, sweet potatoes,100% Whole wheat bread, no fat yogurt,with berries.I also take oxygen at nite for low oxygen levle.so i am not doing to good with the exserice, Dose anyone have an idea?
I'm a yoga fan, so my first suggestion to anyone, but espicially for people who can't do other exercise routines, is yoga.
It low impact, versatile, (I sometimes do it while waiting for the bus), and practically anyone can do it (and benefit from it). When I manage to not be lazy and do it almost everyday I feel really good the whole day.
But whatever you decide to do exercise wise, the diet is the most important part (so I hear).
I think both diet and exercise are important. However exercise doesn't have to be very hard. Even going for a walk 2-3 times a week should help. If half an hour is too long, you can work your way up. Plus, exercise is an excellent stress reliever! I hope it gets easier. If it helps, eating properly is hard for everyone. And just because there are people that can eat anything and not gain wait, that doesn't mean that they won't have health issues later on. Stay strong!
Lois, Is it possible you have Candida Albicans? when the yeast over takes you It will feed on Sugar, and a lot of things that turn to sugar alcohol. Hence, the cravings. Try this, first thing in the am spit into a clear glass (or plastic cup) of water. If everything dissolves, you are probably clear. If anything remains on top or strings flow down..you need to cleans the yeast. The anti Candida diet is very strict, but No more cravings once you free yourself from the yeast overgrowth. Go to a good health food store and maybe whole foods. Start eating green! Except no celery or peas. Or even Carrots and beets. Learn what turns to sugar fast and BEAT the BEAST! I love yoga also. And go walk at the mall or park. You will loose weight when you finally learn to eat right....No junk food!! no processed food NO SUGAR SUBSTITUTES except Xylitol(made from a fungus killing plant good for your teeth and gums). Get rid of all products that contain Sodium Lauryl (lareyth or any simular sounding product) Sulfates!!! Shampoo,toothpaste,ect. These are cancer causing,yeast growing nasty products. ALSO, NO ALCOHOL, NO COFFEE OR TEA ( UNLESS ALL HERBAL TEA).
ALL BREAD IS THE ENEMY!! THERE IS ALSO SUGAR IN YOGURT!! (WATCH THAT)
DRINK SPRING WATER ( STAY AWAY FROM CHLORINE)
