My husband is still gone so last night my mother stayed over for some company. She woke me around 10am! I slept so late! I stayed up late reading blogs...tut...tut...But it was nice to sleep in. I headed to the gym for an appointment with Clive at 2pm.
Today my training session was really different than it usually is. Usually I do a lot of strength training but today it was mostly core work. I enjoyed it a lot. I did lots of crunches, planks, stability ball and medicine ball work. What a nice change. Don't get me wrong it was tough tough!! But a nice change.
After the gym I met a good friend for coffee. We sat in Starbucks for about 2 hours and chatted. After 30 mins I got super dooper hungry and I couldn't resist a skinny lemon poppy seed muffin. It was delicious! I figured my metabolism was working pretty hard after my work-out! When I got home I looked up the nutritional information online and it turned out to be 6 points. About what I expected and that only brought me to 14 points for the day. Well worth it.
So I guess today I worked out my muffin top and ate one too!
On other news, I noticed today that my legs are really beginning to change shape. I have large legs in proportion to the rest of my body but they definitely seem to be getting a little more defined and firmer. I am seeing my quads and my calfs more and more so I am looking forward to the next time Clive takes measurements.
Gotta long run planned for tomorrow. Long run for me means like... 4 miles! Don't laugh all your real runners out there!
