With all the working out I’ve been doing lately, I decided it was time to shuffle around my iTunes Workout playlist, because without my iPod, I don’t think I could get through a minute on the elliptical machine. I’d been listening to the same songs for months, and while I have 10,000,000 songs in my iTunes, I hadn’t changed the Workout playlist much.
I went to the gym with the new mix of songs, and it was great! It really kept me on my toes because I didn’t know exactly which song was coming next and what the beat was like. (My old mix was so overplayed that I could tell you exactly what the beat of the next song was without hearing it).

Ok, so no judgments on the music choices. I know it’s heavy with pop, and has a bit too much Cher to avoid embarrassment, but the songs really get me going. Each of them has a good (fast) beat, catchy lyrics, and keeps me from wondering how much longer I have to be up on this machine. In fact, I hardly realize how long I’ve been working out when I have these songs to distract me.
