Wii Fit

Posted Feb 21 2009 11:38pm
I wonder how many people use the Wii Fit for weight loss. My husband bought it for me for my Birthday and I really got a workout from it. But since I'm going to the gym so much and going for real walks I haven't used it as much as I would like to. It's great for checking my weight though. I'll hop on it before going to TOPS on weigh-in Wednesday to see if I'm going to see a lose for the week. I also like that it lets you put in a goal to work towards and gives good tips for weight loss. It's good for a quick workout at night too if you couldn't get in any exercise for the day.

My goal these days is to do at least 30 mins of cardio 6 days a week and weight training 3 days a week. Even with all this exercise I'm still only losing a lb a week. I just recently upped my calories though too so I'm sure that hasn't made the weight come off quicker. But I have a plan and I think the most calories I can eat is the best plan. My thinking on this is that if I'm eating 2100-2200 calories a day now by the time I get to goal I will still be eating a fair amount of calories and it will be something I can maintain for the rest of my life. Of course when I get to maintanence I won't be doing as much exercise either. So the more calories I have to play with the better.

How I've gotten this far is a lot of things mixed together. I'd like to think it's the Dawn plan that will work for life. I'm often wondering how come I waited this long to figure it all out. It hasn't been an easy plan to sort out and it seems to always be changing because the truth of it is life changes and as you make your body smaller you need to change things up to keep the weight coming off.
