WIAW: Volt Range

Saturday night Neal and I returned to Volt Range for a “just because” dinner.  We didn’t think we had anything to celebrate but then we realized that it had been just about a year since we became Theodore’s parents .  We chuckled and thought it was the perfect reason to visit Volt Range again.

This was my third time dining at Range and let me y’all, it was outstanding!! The service was spectacular, the food was out of this world, and Neal and I had a wonderful evening together.

We started out with cocktails from the Range bar.  I ordered this delicious strawberry cocktail that was made with vodka, strawberries, ginger, and a few other things.  It was absolutely outstanding! Probably one of the best cocktails I’ve ever had.

To start, Range brought us this outstanding shrimp cocktail and crab salad… it. was. magical!

We then ordered the cornbread with BACON marmalade…

and a side of fried brussels sprouts and everything mashed potatoes… It was an outstanding dinner!

We ordered the peach cobbler which was perfectly tart and sweet at the same time…

and the ice cream sandwiches.  I loved the salted caramel ice cream while Neal just couldn’t get enough of the chocolate mint.

We had an amazing time at Volt Range and can’t wait to take our parents there when they come to visit.  It has become one of our favorite restaurants in the DC area.
