Yogurt, leeks, grapefruit, steamed vegetables. I've found that certain foods seem to have a cleansing effect and in fact make my body feel very rejuvenated and thus energized. Why is this the case? Are there some foods that help sluggish digestive systems? Does detoxifying our systems on occasion help us re-balance certain chemical levels? What are some other foods that aid in digestion and what components other than fiber help us detox?
