Weight Loss Psychology - Use It and You'll Lose It

We often hear it said that it is important to honor your body, it is your temple, the place you live in. Your body is to be respected, cherished, taken care of, even worshipped.

Is it not equally important to honor your mind, your psychology, your thoughts, your emotions? Isn’t that what really makes us human? Doesn’t it count as much?

The answer is yes, it does, and maybe it counts even more, because of the mind/body duality, because of how much mind influences body, and vice versa.

If you consider your weight problem as only a body issue, you will not be able to solve it. Your human-being-ness requires that you look at the not so obvious but deeper side of yourself, the side that contains your thoughts and feelings: the psychological side.

 If you do not, you are only looking at one half of yourself, at best. If you do it that way, you will only come up with one half of a solution, and that never works.
