Weight Loss Motivation Tips: Progress, Progress, Progress

It goes without saying that making progress is an important aspect of dieting. But do you think of making progress as only pounds lost? If you do, you are undervaluing your own efforts. Losing weight isn’t the only measure of forward movement toward your weight loss goal. Let’s say you’re in the middle of a diet. Let’s say you did well on your diet all week, but you didn’t lose any weight or you don’t think you lost enough weight. You are still making good progress. You are still on the right path. You are doing some or all of the following: being true to your diet plan, dealing with stresses without turning to food, preventing old habits from creeping back in, planning ahead, following through on your intentions, maintaining your self-confidence, staying well ahead of the danger signs, and not making excuses. These things are wonderful achievements and even in a week where you lost no weight, they are at work behind the scenes. Making progress in these areas guarantees that not only will you achieve your weight loss goal, but you will be able to stay there.
