It’s been a long time since D and I have had a weekend to just relax. Every summer I think it’s going to be weekends full of relaxation, beach visits and hanging out in Providence. Every summer, that’s not really the case. Between family visits, weddings, showers, events and other activities, our weekends fill up pretty quickly.
That’s why when we can actually take time and make it to the farmer’s market or hang out and actually read The New York Times – it’s soooo much more enjoyable.
And the dinners that D makes aren’t too shabby either (seared scallops, parmesan corn, balsamic basil tomatoes and homemade blueberry tart). I mean come. on.
I also tried out Marylou’s coffee (Peanut Butter Wonderful since I love anything Peanut Butter) which is the newest craze to hit Mass/RI/CT. It was interesting – sweet and tasty, but definitely not all that it’s cracked up to be I think…although I may need to try their other delicious sounding flavors
I also spent 40392304 hours watching the Olympics. I love love love the Olympics but I am kind of glad they’re done – I haven’t watched this much TV in forever.
