I really wasn't sure how this week's weigh-in was going to shake down. I did pretty well with my eating up until Tuesday, with the exception of a couple of test cookies and a heavy dinner on Friday night. Then the Kashi Incident happened, which I now think was a mild case of food poisoning rather than just an overload of fiber. I was out of commission for 24 hours - my husband had to stay home to watch the kiddies yesterday (thank God he had a sick day coming). I missed my workout yesterday as well, so I really didn't know how things were going to go.
So I got on the scale braced for a gain, but hoping for a loss. Without further ado, here are the results:
Loss for Week 5: 4 pounds!
Total loss since beginning: 16.5 pounds!
4 pounds - whoa. I would say I should have that Kashi Incident more often, but uh...no, thanks! I'd rather just lose weight the regular (and less painful) way.
Things I did well this week:
Started truly counting my calories - I started using SparkPeople, and I'll give it a proper write-up after I use it for a while.
Did really well with my water intake.
Stuck to my eating plan even when I wasn't feeling well.
Things to work on:
This weekend's going to be a bit crazy. We're repainting my living room, and I may stay with my parents while my hubby does the painting. That means no access to my gym for the weekend, and having to deal with the food at my parent's house. I may bring some of my own food to make things a bit easier.
I'm feeling much better today (thank the Kashi gods), so I'm going to do my Zumba DVD and then get back in the gym tomorrow.
