Yay! I'm happy to report a 1.2 lb. loss this week! Here's how the numbers stack up:
Last week: 375.6 lbs. This week: 374.4 lbs. Pounds Lost: 1.2 Total Lost Since 02-09-09: 26.4 lbs.
To be perfectly honest,I really wasn't expecting to see a loss at all this week because I didn't exercise on my elliptical or do my "Walk Away the Pounds" videos as much as I should have last week. And last night I ate some foods that were higher in sodium that what I usually eat... such as pickles and whole-grain tortilla chips. So I'm totally thrilled that the scale showed a 1.2 lb. loss today!
At one time, a 1.2 lb. loss would have totally bummed me out. I probably would have gotten discouraged and depressed... and would have given up... and I would have totally pigged out today. But I am determined to be patient with my weight loss this time. I'm just going to remain steadfast with my eating and exercise plan. And I'm going to relax, sit back, and watch what my body does each week. If my body only wants to lose 1.2 lbs. this week or any other week, that's OK. I know that some week down the road, my body's going to lose more than that. And I'm going to be happy about EVERY loss that the scale shows... because it's all going to add up.
I'm slowly learning to eat to live instead of living to eat. I'm learning to make healthy food choices. And I'm slowly changing my body from the inside out.
I don't care how long this takes. I am not going to quit. And some day... I will have lost 200 pounds. Until then... I'm going to enjoy every mile of the journey. I'm going to continue to persevere and take it one day at a time and do the best that I can each day.
