I just heard a lady named Lesley Beck (Nutrition Guide for Staying Healthy for Life) on the radio say that there was just a clinical study that showed that women who took a Vitamin D supplement during the winter months reduced their risks of developing cancer by 60%! She said that the amount of IU (international units) in the supplement was 1100 and you cannot get that amount from general intake from the foods that you find Vitamin D naturally. For example, an egg white would only have 25 IU etc.
