I eat a lot of veggies. I probably eat 8-10 servings on a bad day. On a good day I can eat 15 servings. It helps an awful lot that I love veggies.
The problem I'm having is that with this Precision Nutrition I'm supposed to eat veggies with every meal. Ummm, no! I eat 5-6 meals a day and I just can't seem to get veggies in every one. If I have eggs for breakfast, no problem I throw in onions and peppers. Lunch and dinner, no problem these meals are mostly veggies. My protein shake in the morning - problem. How do I get veggies with a fruit smoothie type protein shake?? Some of my snacks - problem. I have a great snack, cottage cheese, chocolate protein powder, flax seed, and some fruit. I love this but how would I get a veggie in there?? PN recommends a 90% compliance rate. So if you're eating 7 meals 7 days a week that's 49 meals. A 90% compliance rate would mean you eat PN meals for 44 meals a week ( I rounded up). But, since I'm not getting veggies in the morning or at snacks I'm exceeding my 10% non-compliance limits. This bothers me. But, I may have found a solution (god, don't you love the Internet??).
Drink My Daily Veggies. This is real veggies dried and in a powder form. They recommend you mix it in water, season and drink. I say, if it's in powder form, I can throw it on or in anything. This will allow me to put some veggies in my protein drink. I can sprinkle some on my cottage cheese snack and instant veggies. This product will allow me to be more compliant with the Precision Nutrition eating plan. You have no idea how exciting this is to me.
Anyone can use this. I know there are some folks out there who have bemoaned the fact they can't eat enough veggies. Here you go. You don't have to change your lifestyle or your eating habits, just mix and drink or sprinkle it on what you are eating. There are so many possibilities with this I don't even know where to begin. You could take this camping. For those Saturday afternoon beer lunches this will allow me to get my veggies in for the day.
They are offering a free sample where they only charge you $1 for shipping. I'm going to give it a go and see how it is.
