Traveling

I've reached a point in my life where I really want to travel. I had the opportunity when I was younger but wasn't in the position to take advantage of the chance and really wasn't in the mindset to travel. Now I'm ready.

I want to see all the usual places, Europe, Australia, New Zealand. Some places hold no interest for me, Japan, the Orient, Thailand, etc. I know they are beautiful places but they just hold no attraction for me.

One place that has always fascinated me is Cyprus. I know a guy from Cyprus and I guess that's why it's always fascinated me. I'd love to go there. I understand, and I'm not real clear on this, but Cyprus is a divided island. I think it is Turkish in the north and Greek in the south. The north is not nearly as developed as the south and therefore a much better travel deal. North Cyprus Property can be had for very good prices.

Cyprus is a land of ancient treasures. You know, that's what attracts me to an area. I'm dying to see Greece and Egypt because of their antiquity. Cyprus holds that same sort of appeal to me. Civilization has existed on Cyprus for thousands of years. How cool is that?? The thought of walking where Plato and Aristotle may have walked is just wondrous to me. That's why I want to go to Israel! To walk where Jesus walked. Major chicken skin.

So as they say in the song, I was born with a traveling bone...... I can not wait till we get settled in a house and we can start traveling seriously.
