How many times have you told yourself that “I’ll start my workout routine tomorrow” or “I’ll do this or do that tomorrow”.
Well I’ve had enough of it as it does nothing but sabotage your thought patterns because you get used to putting things off.
So here’s 3 perfectly good reasons why you should start your training routine TODAY
1) You have to strike while the iron is hot: This means that when you get the lightning bolt or the kick up the backside that makes you think it’s time to get motivated and make a change.
So why wait? It’s never the perfect time so start straight away.
Start your exercise routine TODAY - no excuses
Let’s say you want to get back into working out again because you can’t fit into your jeans anymore. Great! Let’s start off with a walk. You go to leave the house and it’s raining so you go back and sit on the lounge.
Now you’re back in the saddle and you just broke one of the biggest excuses people give themselves.
2) Every Day You Put Off Is Just Getting You Further Away From Your Goal: Let’s say that your goal is to get back into your skinny jeans by Christmas time. At the time of writing this, you have exactly 11 weeks until the big fat man in the red suit comes.
That is a great amount of time to make a change!
So let’s say you put that off saying “I can’t start this week because I’m going to the (insert event here) and next week is Barry’s birthday so I’ll start the week after that
Well, you’re now looking at 9 weeks to get into those jeans. 11 weeks sounds so much better doesn’t it?
You just simply have no valid reason to keep delaying changing your life as we can always kid ourselves into coming up with obstacles, not valid reasons, stopping you from achieving your goals.
A valid reason would be a death in the family, your kids are sick and you need to take them to the doctors or a serious injury. Nothing else really cuts it.
You could even do your bodyweight workout in your office!
3) Tomorrow Never Comes: There’s a great saying from someone whose name I can’t recall that says tomorrow is the eighth day of the week because it’s the day that never comes.
It’s a perfect way to look at the “I’ll start tomorrow” mindset.
Why put of until tomorrow what you can do today. This includes your training routine as much as it does anything in life.
So hopefully this has been a good little bit of motivation to get your off your backside and back into a training routine.
If you already are, great! You’re already on top of the game and are no doubt well on track to achieving your end goal and I take my hat off to you for that.

Big no-no.
It’s time for a home exercise workout. No excuses. Do some push ups and some squats and some hover variations. You’ve worked every muscle in your body and are feeling great about yourself.
Now you’re back in the saddle and you just broke one of the biggest excuses people give themselves.

So, you’ve got to work back? Do a 10 minute bodyweight blitz workout at home first thing in the morning or as soon as you get home.
Remember, no excuses.
You could even do your bodyweight workout in your office!
