To Goal or Not To Goal

In my yearly review of 2012 Goals, I said that I wasn’t going to write down a bunch of goals this year.  This was really out of character for me, because I’m such a planner.  I did so poorly on last year’s goals, and this year I really want to set myself up for success.  I don’t want to write a bunch of grandiose plans only to miss the mark with them.

But on the other hand…




And then I came across the 13 in 13 from reading Amber’s blogRebecca over at Weight Wars has put together a great program for goal setting, but more than that, I’m attracted to it because it has built in monthly accountability.  Participants in 13 in 13 set 13 goals for 2013, but more than that, they will be checking in on a monthly basis, prompted by Rebecca’s emails.  I like that I’ll be held responsible for checking in on my goals, which was the piece of the puzzle that I was missing last year.

So, I guess that decides it.  I’m going to do 13 in 13.  Now I just need to come up with my goals, besides the most obvious – weight loss.
