Three Hour Diet

I would certainly sign on for a diet that only lasted three hours, but I had a hunch this wasn't going to be that easy. Jorge Cruise, author of The 3-Hour Diet: How Low-Carb Diets Make You Fat and Timing Makes You Thin, counsels us to eat some candy every day! Tell me more! As with just about every other diet, portion control is key, but Cruise has a secret weapon. He's all about the timing. These are the rules:

  • Eat breakfast within one hour of rising
  • Eat every three hours thereafter
  • Stop eating three hours before bedtime

Get it? The 3-Hour diet! Seems simple enough. By eating frequently you are supposed to enjoy increased metabolic rate (read: burning calories faster!) and no hunger spikes. Who knows if the timing works, but anything to get your mind off the small portions should help you stick to it! Try it and report back here!

Sounds like a great plan, but it can become more difficult than one may think. Its hard to stop working to snack or take a break. I often find myself on a go, go, go, pace. Maybe one idea to get on this three hour plan it to set daily reminders through a calendering system (Outlook). Thanks!
I know when I was doing the Body-4-Life plan, I really had to map out the night before what I was going to eat the next day. Because it's true if you don't have a plan, it's difficult to have what you need on hand when you need it!
