anabottom This post follows the same vein as my is your Microwave Making you Fat post, it’s along the same lines feel free to read that post it’s quite a interesting one that post is, so what does this mean then, well sorry to say but it’s not a post about a UK children’s TV program. In fact far from it there won’t be any ehos in this post, so if you found this article by typing in teletubby on Google your in the wrong place, just so you know.

So lets get to the juice as it where we all know that watching to much television, and having little exercise isn’t a good thing no great revelations there you might say, well there is more to this than meets the eye, some studies have been done on the effects on how television slows down your metabolism in fact one such study found that it slowed the participants down that much that it was even lower than if you just lying down and doing nothing at all.

Which isn’t good your not going to shed many calories whilst doing that, other finds in the study where that television makes you hungry so you eat more food while you watch it ever notice that, also it has been noted the television makes you eat faster depending on what you watch the beat of the sound in the program will make you eat faster or slower, that is why restaurants have music in the background sometimes if there busy you might have some upbeat music playing in the background and if it’s quiet some down tempo music.

Even the programs that you watch can affect your appetite one study that was commissioned which had women participants, found the the content had an affect on there appetite,if it was scary or thriller type program that would make them eat more food. Television seems to interfere with our brain chemistry far more than you probably realise. So when your watching your favourite television prgram take note of your eating habits.

You might be surprised to see that your doing things that you didn’t even realise you  where doing.
