Thermogenic foods naturally speed up our metabolism and 'cremate' calories. Thermogenesis, the process of heat production is one of the biochemical processes that makes up metabolism. Here is a list of the most thermogenic foods, beverages, and spices. #1) Protein rich foods: A protein rich meal boosts your metabolism by 30% whereas a high carbohydrate meal only boosts it by 4%. #2) Salmon & Tuna: Researchers in Australia determined that a group eating salmon and tuna lost 22% more weight than a focus group eating the same number of calories but no salmon or tuna. #3) Celery: Celery actually burns more calories than it provides. #4) Hot Peppers!! #5) Drinks: Ice Water, Green Tea, Coffee #6) Spices: Apple Cider Vinegar, Cayenne Pepper, Cinnamon, Celery Seed, Fennel Seed, Garlic, Ginger, Mustards & Chili Sauce, Parsley, and Salsa.
