Before I started losing weight, I would watch tennis on the television in absolute awe. My favorite player Andre Agassi moved across the court with such speed and power for hours at a time...And I wondered to myself--how the hell does he do that? How can someone have that much stamina?
Well, I kind of understand now. Today, I woke up at around 5:30 AM and went to the gym. While I was there, I lifted for around thirty to forty minutes, did twenty minutes of running/walking on the treadmill, and then biked outside for another fifteen to twenty minutes. I would never have been able to do this a year ago. It amazes me what the human body is capable of given the care it needs to reach its full potential.
I'm so excited for the future. I want to be like Andre--a fit and healthy man who is over thirty and in incredible shape. I want to be an athlete because I know I have it in me. There is no greater feeling than the rush of adrenaline pumping through your veins when running. I love the way it energizes me, and I love that my body can take it now.
Things are going great. The scale is heading in the right direction again and the will of the dragon is stronger than ever. This summer is gonna be a breakthrough. Know that!
