Lifestyle modifications generally mean making changes to the pattern of your practices and personal behavioral choices that put your health at risk.

The usually recommended lifestyle modifications for weight loss are:

  • eating healthier

But there are other "lifestyle" modifications that must be made if weight loss success is your goal. These are modifications in your:

  • thinking
  • self-control
  • motivation
  • hopefulness
  • persistence
  • optimism
  • patience
  • etc.
After all, the process of dieting and losing the weight is mostly psychological. You know that just from your own experience. There are always those "psychological demons" that threaten you with dieting and weight loss failure. It takes psychological "lifestyle" modification to deal with them.
