We start the gym program on Tuesday but I’ve thought long and hard about my diet. I searched and found this.
I’ve been trying the blueberry smoothie for about a week now and I think I can keep it up. I really like the cheese sandwich! It’s a lot more filling then the oatmeal I have been eating. I’m gonna rotate in the others in the future and see how they work too.
For lunch I’m gonna go with one turkey or roast beef sandwich on whole wheat bread. I’ll also have an apple, grapes, yogurt, banana or something along those lines. I’ve been eating two ham sandwiches on the whole wheat for as long as I can remember. I know I can keep this up forever - or until I think of something new. I hear turkey and roast beef are better choices and I like them just as well so there won’t be any problem.
I did a little test of this plan this weekend and I found that it leaves me hungry later in the afternoon. I’m gonna have to figure out something to eat around 3:30. I’m gonna try some whey protein shakes this week. I’ll have to work something else in if that doesn’t work but I’m pretty sure that I need to be eating more meals during the day in order to keep my metabolism up. At least that’s what I’m reading. It won’t take long for me to figure out if I need to scrap this plan!
As far as dinner - who knows. I haven’t got that far yet. Just gonna try to do the best I can until I can come up with something. It’s a lot harder for this meal because the wife’s involved in that one and she probably won’t go for another sandwich or something like that. We’ll probably do something with beans or chicken. She’s the cook so I’m gonna have to think of stuff that she’ll approve of. Who knows, maybe I’ll even help out! I’m sure we can work something out.
This is gonna take a lot of trial and error but it should be interesting. I look forward to the challenge.
