If someone gets married and divorced six times, you'd say she was doing something wrong, wouldn't you? (maybe picking bad partners)
If a woman starts a new business six times and each time it fails ultimately, you'd say she was doing something (or some things) wrong, wouldn't you? (maybe not enough preparation)
If someone makes a recipe for beef bourguignonne six times and each time it comes out inedible, you'd say she was doing something wrong, wouldn't you? (maybe the recipe was faulty)
If a woman tries to fix a broken hot water heater six times, and it only works for a day or so before breaking down again, you'd say she was doing something wrong, wouldn't you? (maybe using the wrong parts)
So what do you say about a woman who has gone on six diets but still has not lost the weight she wants to lose? How do you explain that?
