When it comes to the holidays, can you be more supportive of your weight loss goal?
What if you had to choose between giving up holiday food and drink in favor of diet food? Could you do it?
Knowing that this choice is coming up soon, what might you do to increase the liklihood that you'll stick to your long-term weight loss goal rather than fall for the holiday temptations?
One thing you could do is make the temptations be a test of your commitment to weight loss. Then you could put yourself to the test. There could be three levels of test difficulty. Level one would be eating less but not sticking to your diet plan. Level two would be sticking to your diet plan with a few lapses expected. Level three would be sticking to your diet plan with no lapses allowed and with increased weight loss expected.
Then, what if you made it so you had to pay a penalty to someone close to you if you didn't pass the test? Let's say you had two hundred dollars in penalty money. Which level of the test - one, two, or three - would you pay the highest penalty for failing to reach?
