Such Great Heights

Posted Jun 10 2009 12:20am
Today's weigh-in was a little stressful, because with every new diet plan, comes uncertainty. Would losing weight while not counting calories be a possibility for me? I've been so dependent on the numbers since I started my journey, that taking this new direction towards weight loss has required an unbelievable amount of faith in myself to implement.

And you know what? I'm glad I took the risk.

I've lost 1.5 pounds in nine days, without counting calories.

Is it bad that I don't mind only losing one pound a week anymore? I've stopped obsessing about having to lose a certain amount of weight by a specific date. Life doesn't start after you get to your goal weight. Not for me, anyway.

I know I keep talking about it, but I am obsessed with not obsessing about losing weight anymore. I really do feel like I have panda wings now---genuine ones, covered in sparkling glitter. I can't promise you I won't ever have a pity party on this blog again, but I can promise you that they will be far less frequent.

Alright, it's TV night. I gotta go catch up on Lost, The Real World, and The Biggest Loser. Seeya guys later!
