Struggling with getting below the 190 mark for good....
Posted Nov 14 2009 12:00am
UGH! I feel like I have lost the same 4- 5 lbs over and over again... I keep going between 187- 192... (though THANKFULLY even though I didn't work out this week on the road- I maintained my weight at 188.)
Got up this AM (time zone change had me up at 6:30am... ON A SATURDAY!!!) so I went for a run in the neighborhood instead of the gym... (brisk 44 degrees out... damp air- but it was so calling my name to run outside!) http://www.mapmyrun.com/route/us/mn/minneapolis/528125820891661878 Felt good! AND it felt great to know that I did about 4 miles in less than an hour... my time is getting better! And I wasn't dying! LOL I finished my exercise for the day before 8am!
When I am home? It wasn't even a question of me getting up and working out this morning.. I was up.. I was out the door... I need to find that deep down strength and motivation when I am traveling. My job is a job where I travel- period. I need to find it in me to make this happen.
I am going to be home for a week. It will be good and feel good to get back into a routine a little. I expect my workout this week to be like this
Saturday- Jog 4 miles
Sunday- Walk/jog intervals with Jack 5 miles
Monday- 6am Boot Camp, 6pm Water Aerobics (gonna need the relaxation and stretching in the water after boot camp! LOL)
Tuesday- Jog after work
Weds- Bootcamp and water aerobics
Thursday- Jog AM
Friday- either day off or jog (depending on how I feel after seeing New Moon at mid-night the night before! LOL)
Sunday- on a plane to Arizona
So then I am on the road the next 2 weeks- the nice thing is the first week is vacation... and I am going to be in WARM Arizona... so I fully expect to be able to make some time to jog at least- at least the week I am on vacation- the work week- as always will be more of a challenge...
But I am hoping that the next two weeks or so- I am able to get enough exercise in to feel like I am back in some semblence of a routine and to finally get SOLIDLY below that 190 mark. (my goal weight of 150 is def going to be harder to reach than the 120 lbs I already lost was- I think!)
