Let me start by saying the last 2 days have. been. awesome. Let’s ignore the fact I’ve lived off chocolate, cheese and holiday cookies for a minute. I spend 2, actually no, 4 days just enjoying the company of my boys. This video pretty much captures the essence of our Christmas.
Of course we also had the traditional set up.

I didn’t want to worry about what I was eating, how much, when I would work out, how I looked etc. etc. etc. I just wanted to, well, be. And it was great! But now I’m feeling blah and bloated and, well, bad.
I’ve decided not to compound these feelings by weighing in today. I have no doubt it will show a gain, and I’m ok with it. I’ve just decided to move on and I’m excited to announce a fun twist to our weekly Wednesday Weigh Ins starting in the New Year.
For four weeks, from Wednesday, January 2nd to Tuesday, January 29th, I’m partnering with DietBet to create A New Year’s Wednesday Weigh In Challenge!
To join the challenge, players each add $20 to the pot, which is divided up among the “winners” at the end of the game. DietBet doesn’t work like The Biggest Loser, it’s not winner-take-all. Instead, everyone who loses at least 4% of their starting weight will get an equal share of the pot. DietBet supplies “referees” to verify weights using a photo-based weigh-in process.
If we can get 100 people, which is my goal, that’s a $2,000 pot!
The pot breaks down like this…
85% of the total is divided among all the winners
5% goes to DietBet for management, credit card fees, etc.

I’m super excited about this and think we’ll have a blast. I tried to keep the stakes low enough to allow most people to enter but still high enough to give us a fun pot size. Based on the popularity and success of this challenge, I’m totally into hosting a few more if you want to keep going.
