Some Post Halloween Tea Time

Posted Nov 01 2013 6:00pm

Or should I say HOWLoween?

Okay, remember like four hours ago when I said I should stop blogging about booze so much? I swear, I swear I meant it, but then I saw this and I had to. I just did. Because it combines both my love of booze (stop judging me, you snarky hooligan) and my love of tea.

OB
Owl’s Brew is the beverage industry’s first line of tea mixers designed for cocktails, launched in New York City just in July 2013. And thankfully, it's being sold at everyone's fave, BevMo . (Find your nearest BevMo here .)

BevMo will carry one of OB's most beloved flavors, The Classic - English breakfast with a tart twist, sweetened with agave, with each serving less than forty calories. (The other two flavors available on the market, though not at BevMo, include: Coco-Lada, sweet with a spicy kick, rounded out by coconut and sweetened with natural agave and Pink & Black, a robust darjeeling, with a hint of hibiscus, sweetened with agave.)

Owl’s Brew’s tea bases are blended specifically to be paired with liquors (two parts brew, to one part booze), or they may be served as a standalone “mocktail” beverage.  Owl's Brew is batched from real, whole spices, fruits & herbs and freshly brewed in Vermont in large kettles, where it is handcrafted in small batches, and packed into stylish matte black bottles (I LOVE THE BOTTLES ).  The result is a tea freshly-brewed, with a light, fresh flavor profile, that is uniquely crafted for cocktails.

I'm dying to try it. I think it's genius.

Teas
Disclosure: Um.... I was invited to an Owls Brew event but could not attend at the last minute, so I asked them to send me samples. They are still en route but I did not want to make the brand wait any longer for my long overdue post. And I really am excited about this product. Aren't you? It looks really friggin' good.
