Put Diet Failure Behind By Rescuing Your Self-Esteem

Do you keep your promises to yourself? If you break them, how does it make you feel?

One of the things women don't pay so much attention to is how they feel about themselves when they go back on a decision to diet and lose the weight.

It can really cut into your self-esteem. So, besides not losing weight, which is a disappointment, you may find yourself feeling like a failure. The problem is then compounded.

Stop blaming yourself. This may sound silly - after all you did it. So who's to blame?

But you can look at your diet failure in a whole different way, and doing so just might save your diet and your self-esteem.

Chuck the self-blame game and take a good look at the situation(s) where you blew it. Study the circumstances. Who was there? How were things going? How were you feeling? How tense was the situation? What were the events that led up to the situation?

You see right away, you are pointed in a new direction. You can't go back in time and undo what you did. But with this new knowledge of the situation you were in, you can plan to do better next time.

Leave self-blame behind. Move ahead with lots of thought about what went wrong, and how you can fix it. You'll lose the weight and feel good about yourself too.
