Profound Self-Trust: How To (And New Website Celebration Giveaway) #1
Posted Oct 30 2013 3:33pm
When I am feeling unsure, insecure, angsty, icky, prickly, desperate – you KNOW what I am talking about – I look at photos of my young self. I see her. I see the innocence AND the wisdom. I see the uncertainty AND the trust. I see the vulnerability AND the guardedness. I see ALL the parts that make me who I am today and I feel protective of it all.
And when I feel that way, I take amazing care of myself. And when I take amazing care of myself, I show up in the world in all my glory.
How to take this small step towards trusting and accepting yourself?
Pull out your old photos. Find the ones of you as a child. Look at each one and choose several that, when you look at that face, you see your WHOLE self. Put them in places where you know you’ll see them often. The bathroom mirror. The fridge. Next to your computer.
When you can, spend a few moments looking into your own gorgeous eyes.
How do you feel? What’s comes up?
Tell me in the comments below to be entered in the giveaway (and note that the giveaways will continue over the next couple of weeks)!
Giveaway #1: two $50 gift certificates to Novica (see this post for more about what Novica is and why I love and support it). I will announce two winners (via random drawing) on November 7!
