Preparing For The Low carb 360 Weight loss Challenge!

Posted Jan 29 2013 3:11pm

I am so excited to begin the low carb 360 weight loss challenge with you in 3 days!!

My wish is for us to all be successful on this weight loss journey, together.

Like the old saying goes “If you fail to prepare, you are preparing to fail”, so I think it is important for us to put a plan in motion.

Do do list

It is important to set goals before beginning our weight loss plan.

One way I do this is to set mini goals,  for example, my fist goal weight is to be under 200lbs by June 1st 2013.

If you are not sure what your ideal body weight is,  here is a calculator that you can use to determine your body mass index as well as your height to weight radio.

Now that you have an idea of what is recommended, you can now start to set mini weight loss goals.

Remember the low carb diet is not a temporary fix, it is a life long commitment to better health.

Here are some tips I use to get through this period.

1. Drink plenty of water.
2. Eat a variety of vegetables from the low carb food list.
3. Take a multi-vitamin daily.
4. Limit Net Carbs.
5. Track your food intake.
I have heard some people say that they get hungry during Induction. Here is my advise; if you are hungry EAT! The low carb diet is not a starvation diet. One point that was emphasized in the
Dr. Atkins’ New Diet Revolution, Revised Edition is to “eat until you are satisfied!” So to help you prepare for the Induction Period here are some Induction friendly recipes you can make before hand:

You can make these dishes at the start of the challenge and  when you feel those hunger pangs setting in, have them on hand to eat.

Please feel free to leave a comment if you have questions.

Looking forward to our weight loss journey together.
