When a word “FITNESS” comes in most of our mind’s, the first thing in our subconscious comes of physical fitness. As and when we started thinking of fitness, most of us assume that we are not fit and we need some sort of training.
But what we do is surfing on internet with the urge to extract information which will give us fitness. Then we do follow mixed advises from websites couple of days and after few days we forget again. It always happens when we decide to loose weight or decide to quit smoke or decide to do anything positive for ourselves.
Have you ever questioned yourself that why is it that we loose motivation when it comes to do anything positive in our life?
If it happens to you as well, it is a sign of weak will power and determination which I associate with mental fitness.
I can guarantee that most of us have not even experienced what absolute fitness is and how dramatic changes it could bring in your life? In fact I did not know what fitness is until I experienced myself.
According to me, Fitness comprised of two parts namely: Physical fitness and mental fitness.
Mental fitness comes prior to physical fitness in order to achieve results you want. If you are mentally fit, you experience calmness, joy and you enjoy every bit of life. You would be more confident and you will be determined to get what you want from life. The best way to get on is to meditate for atleast 5 min in your day. You can follow any meditation technique you want but atleast start doing it. I will also suggest is to use autosuggestion method while meditate to mentor yourself. Remember your mind is the true boss of you and best way is to know that the efficient is your boss, the better you will get results in life.All you need to do is to condition your mind in a way so that you start doing what you exactly want.
“Remember there is nothing in the world which you can’t do and others can. All you need is to build a good positive attitude towards it to achieve it”
Next I would like to talk about is physical fitness. Before I let you know as what needs to be done, you have to believe that staying healthy is one of the most amazing thing you experience in yourself. If you are physically fit then you will not only live longer but also you’ll have quality life. Staying physically fit is not at all tough, all you need to do to bring discipline in your life. Regular exercise and workouts with watchful diet will do wonders in your life.
Now first of all you need to introspect little bit as what is wrong in your body, sometimes there are small things which becomes part of our life like blood pressure, overweight, etc.
I would recommend you to start practicing Pranayam (Breathing exercises) in morning with some basic yoga exercises along with 5-10 minutes of meditation. The basic benefit you will draw from this is you will feel energetic during the day and meditation will give mental calmness and you’ll be determined to stay motivated. Well it just takes 20-25 minutes to do all this in the morning but very beneficial.
There are other techniques also which might help you to stay motivated but we’ll discuss later if required.
Well I have started doing workouts in the evening just before one hour of my evening meal which includes brisk walking for 30 minutes followed by some aerobic exercises and weight training.
Diet has also a major role in your fitness, what you feed yourself is what you see in yourself. If you don’t have knowledge of nutrition I would recommend you to educate yourself what nutrition is what role it plays to keep you healthy. If required you can also visit dietician and get your diet chart ready. Have a balanced meal with proper nutrition content.
Also I have seen many people who say we don’t have time to do all these things, initially I also reason the same, but later on I realized that we just make excuses to ourselves only.
Don’t you think how much we fool ourselves, just to live in our comfort shells without even knowing what shell of fitness offers to you?
“Remember, we can always take one hour for ouselves, no matter how much busy we are. All we need is better time management”
