Orlando Boot Camp - Train Your Way to Long-Lasting Fat Loss!

If someone wanted to know how to lose fat effectively and keep it off, the main component in the solution would be RESISTANCE TRAINING.
Muscle is more metabolically active than fat. This means that in order to stay alive, one pound of muscle requires more calories than a pound of fat.
Studies have shown that one pound of muscle burns about 35-50 calories, while one pound of fat only burns about 2-3 calories. Therefore, muscle is about 25 times more metabolically active than fat.
We have to think back to our different body personality types again. When someone is partaking in a resistance training program, and the scale starts going up, time and time again I hear, “Oh its okay. I’m working out, so I must be gaining muscle. Muscle weighs more than fat, so that is why the scale keeps going up.” Muscle does not weigh more than fat. A pound is a pound is a pound is a pound no matter how you cut the cake.
Remember that old riddle, “Which one weighs more: a pound of lead or a pound of feathers?” Tricky huh? The answer is neither. Both of them weigh a pound!
Time and time again you hear this bogus thought-process, and it deceives people. Muscle does not weight more than fat, however, one pound of muscle is not as dense as a pound of fat. Meaning, one pound of muscle takes up a lot less space on your body than a pound of fat.
So wouldn’t you rather get rid of some of that fat that is taking up so much space on your body and filling up so much space in your clothes and replace it with Lean Body Mass that looks smaller andtakes up a heck of a lot less room?
The next time you go to starve yourself, cut carbs, or spend endless hours on the treadmill, stop whatever it is you are doing and do some resistance training! Your muscle is the most valuable piece of the weight loss puzzle!
