You know, it's a funny thing. I've been thinking about how I'll ever be able to lose these 30 lbs that are stuck to me like glue.
Same old story, I've tried every weight loss diet there is. I'm 49 years old, and I think I can safely say I've been on at least 20 different diet plans. Some worked - for a time. But I'm back with the 30, so obviously nothing worked for good.
At Maria's Last Diet you're always saying how a person's thinking affects everything. So, I've been thinking and trying to come up with a new attitude and a new game plan.
Here it is.
I realize that I have a great talent, I guess you can call it, that I can use to my advantage here. I can find (track down, locate, pinpoint, home in on) - in other words - get - any thing I'm looking for. By that I mean if one of my kids, or my husband, says "Where can I get a ..." - I'm on it immediately.
And I don't stop until I find it. It can even be something obscure - like my daughter wanted a red watch with a rubber band for her birthday, a certain face size, a certain style, but she didn't know who made one with all of her specifications. I found it.
I can do it with a book, a coat, a car, a house, exercise equipment, certain exotic ingredients for a recipe, whatever. I am a finder.
What's the connection here? Well, instead of sitting around thinking about how on earth can I lose the weight, I'm going to find out just how I can do it, exactly what is the best way for me - just like the watch.
And I won't stop until I get there. That's how I handle those other quests, and that's how I'll handle this weight loss challenge.
