MSNBC Article:
New Yorkers try to swallow calorie sticker shock I kind of wish I lived in NYC right now. The one thing I hate about eating out is not knowing how many calories are in my food. A new law that is being implemented in NYC would solve this issue a majority of the time. Chain restaurants in the Big Apple are now required to post the calorie count of their food items on menus.
I often worry about underestimating the amount of calories in dishes that I order from restaurants such as Perkins or Olive Garden. It would make my life so much easier if I had this information available to me on the menu. Besides, I think as customers, we have a right to know the nutrition facts. Restaurants shouldn't be able to keep this information from us.
America just keep getting fatter and knowing how many calories are in that bloomin onion you just ordered from Outback Steakhouse could only be beneficial for your health.
