No Seconds Diet

Posted by Laird H. Patient Expert

Forget South Beach, Atkins and Ornish. The rules are all too complicated and hard to remember. That's why I invented my own personal regimen that doesn't require keeping a list, buying a book or learning a new recipe: I never have seconds. The diet made a big difference for me because I was in the habit of going back for more, whether I was hungry or not. Now I've reversed the formula: I stop eating whether I feel hungry or not. I've discovered I actually need a lot less food than I thought I did, redefined what it means to be full, and lost about a pound every two weeks. I also discovered an added benefit: everything tastes better!

This is what I do too. I realize we keep on eating when we don't really need to. That feeling of still being hungry goes away if you give your stomach time to digest what you already ate and you don't really need seconds. Great tips :)
