Nibbling While Cooking May Hurt a Healthy Weight Loss Diet

Following a healthy weight loss diet by preparing your own nutritious meals is definitely a good strategy.  You still need to be cautious because there is a way that this can ruin your healthy diet plans.

Nibbling on the ingredients you’re cooking with can add hundreds of calories to your daily intake.  For example, if you’re making a vegetable, beef, and cashew stir-fry, those cashews might be tempting enough that you pick up a couple handfuls while you’re cooking.  It might seem innocent but those few cashews just added 200-300 calories!

Every time you prepare a meal, make a conscious effort to not snack on the ingredients you’re working with.  If you have to, satisfy that urge with some raw vegetables since they are very low in calories.  Then you will be confident that you’re sticking to your healthy weight loss diet every day.
