Need Help Losing Weight? Check Out How The Weight-Loss Process Feels to You.

Posted Sep 08 2012 8:28am
How the weight-loss process feels to you is what most likely determines whether you will keep at it.

Let’s check out two different types of feelings that put successfully reducing your weight more within your reach.

Feeling good
One type of feeling is where you feel good about yourself and the actions you are taking to lose your unwanted weight. You like the weight-loss steps you are taking. You feel pleased not only with the results of your execution of the various weight-loss activities and weight-loss strategies you have chosen, but also with the execution itself. You get a kick out of coming up with different ways to monitor weight loss. You enjoy problem solving when you are having a weight-loss difficulty. You get in a zone where, at least for the moment, you feel in a good rhythm and the weight-loss challenges seem weightless? You feel as if you are moving right along.

Feeling right
Another type of feeling is where you feel right about all that you are doing to shed those extra pounds. In other words, what you are doing—the weight-loss activities, the personal changes, controlling anxiety, working on body image issues, improving self-confidence, resolving conflicts, developing better habits, making a good diet choice, and sticking to the diet—is a good fit for you. The methods that you’ve chosen to use and are using, if they feel right for you, keep you pointed toward your goal. They do this by making all the sub-goals along the way feel like you're taking valuable weight-loss steps.

So check yourself out on these two important weight-loss factors and see where you stand.
