Need Help Losing Weight Because of a Lousy Attitude?

Do you have a lousy attitude when it comes to the weight-loss process?

You can’t see the bright side of losing a lot of weight if the process of weight loss interferes too much with your way of caring for yourself. When eating too much food and eating the wrong foods have been your way of smoothing out the ups and downs in your life, it’s no wonder that you are grumpy, out of sorts, resentful, sorry you ever started down the weight-loss path.

Of course you need an attitude adjustment. Try, though, to work more directly on your use of food to help you get through your life. Don’t pay too much attention to your attitude; it’s only the tip of the iceberg. The real issue is the threat of losing your safety net—your emotional use of food.

If you have a lousy attitude when it comes to losing your unwanted weight, see that as a red flag. Then dig a little deeper so you can feel the threat, and see what you can do about dealing with your use of food for emotional stability.
