Hi gang! Hope you had a spectacularly spooky Halloween! My kids had a ball – even the little guy got in on the action:
World’s Strongest Baby Caveman!
So today was supposed to be my official “start day” – I gave myself a week after the baby to get some mojo before starting a serious plan to lose weight.
But…I haven’t really had the time to think about it, to be honest. Right now I’m still trying to get myself into some sort of routine (hasn’t happened yet). The lack of routine plus lack of sleep equals one scattered, exhausted woman.
So right now I’m just trying to cut out the sweets (buh-bye Halloween candy), and concentrate on drinking enough water. My goal for this week is to come up with a plan of action, so that I have a road map that I can follow without thinking too much about it.
Since I won’t be cleared for serious exercise until my 6 week postpartum check-up, I’ll be concentrating on my food intake for now, and will try to add in some walking when I can.
Another goal for the week is to state my expectations of myself, as well as revisit my motivations. I think having these lists written up and available will help me keep my focus.
You see – I plan on this being the very last time I try to lose this weight, so I’m taking my time to do it right.
What pre-planning did you do (or wish you did) before starting your own weight loss journey?
