School lunch prices have increased. Add that to the fact that school lunch choices are questionable at best, and that the kids never eat what is on the tray.
Except for the delight of Chocolate Milk and a huge amount of other carbohydrates that aren't had at home:
"Can we just buy on " Pretzel Day, because you know those are really good, and then they give us like nachos or something with it, and cookies and chocolate milk, and I know there's five thousand grams of sugar in it, but the school doesn't care about that, right?"
This is the meal she was referring to:
- Irish Nachos (Assuming this is fries, with fake ass cheese and bacon?)
- Soft Pretzel
- Fresh Apple/Fruit
- Animal Crackers
- Choice of Milk
I was looking at these, because my girls dig real food for lunches. I can pack wraps, veggies, hummus, tabouli, dips, fruit, beans, they would eat all of it.
The boy, won't eat anything, unless it looks like a plain peanut butter sandwich, or a turkey leg, or the kind of things that the school puts on the tray that are carby and fast-food like, which makes throwing $2 at him too tempting.
I suppose I could schmear peanut butter in one of the containers, and give him various things to smoosh into it. :x
Now, does anybody know where I can find a set like this on the cheap, I don't want to bid, and I want three?
