Low-Carb Conversations Podcast (Episode 4): Kent Altena And Vesna Kovach Break Big News In The Low-Carb Community

Posted Apr 01 2011 4:00pm

Wuzzup you guys? It’s time yet against for “Low-Carb Conversations with Jimmy Moore & Friends” and we’re so pleased to be creating a fun way to talk about the amazing low-carb lifestyle with this podcast that is set to debut on iTunes at long last coming up this weekend. We’d LOVE to have you check it out, start listening there, and leave us your rating and review of this brand new show to attract the attention of those casual podcast listeners looking for something to download to their iPod. So many of you have long supported my “Livin’ La Vida Low-Carb Show” podcast at iTunes with ratings and reviews and it makes a HUGE difference–I’d be most grateful if you did the same thing for this new podcast that we hope will reach a whole new audience of listeners who prefer a more “laid back”-styled show featuring real low-carb followers living out their healthy lifestyle change through all the ups, downs and in-betweens.

In Episode 4 of “Low-Carb Conversations With Jimmy Moore & Friends,” we welcome to the Virtual Porch two of our friends in the low-carb community doing amazing work promoting healthy low-carb living. Kent Altena from the “Atkins Diet Geek” blog is a 200-pound Atkins weight loss success story who has made quite a name for himself through his amazing YouTube videos as “Bowulf” sharing about what low-carb living looks like in his life. Our other friend for this episode is Vesna Kovach from the “How To Cook With Vesna” blog who is committed to educating people about how to cook deliciously healthy whole foods. These are two of the best of the best low-carb/real food bloggers online today!

Listen in as Kent and Vesna chat it up with us about:

  • BIG NEWS breaking in the low-carb blogosphere
  • Vesna’s whole foods cooking background
  • The fresh cheeses and sausages she gets in Wisconsin
  • Why you may not need a Sous Vide machine
  • Whether Kent has found it difficult to keep his weight off
  • Why weight maintenance is like “going to work everyday”

There are currently two (soon to be three!) ways you can listen to Episode 4:

    1. Listen and comment about the show at the official web site for the podcast

    2. Download the MP3 file of Episode 4 [28:12m]

(COMING THIS WEEKEND–the podcast will be available on iTunes!)

By all means, we’d love to have YOU be a part of the conversation as well, so be sure to submit your questions and comments to us ANYTIME by using any of the following ways to contact us: Twitter , Facebook , the official web site , and e-mail . So don’t be bashful–tell us what you think about the show and ask, ask, ask away about anything related to healthy low-carb living!

We heard Kent Altena and Vesna Kovach talk about their own personal low-carb journeys, had them share their own delicious recipes for homemade low-carb Cinnabons and mouthwatering steak (YUMMY!), and how to stay motivated to keep the weight off for good in today’s episode! Tell us what you think about what you heard in today’s conversation in the show notes section of Episode 4 .
