One of my favorite kind of blog posts I do involves linking to any new low-carb and health-related blogs I have come across. We're all in the business of sharing how livin' la vida low-carb has changed our lives and each of us comes at it from our own unique and personal perspective.

While some people prefer to share recipes, others enjoy talking about their weight loss experience; still others get into the ins and outs of low-carb living while some bloggers just go off on a rant and that's their shtick! I love reading all kinds of blogs and we've got 14 of them to share with you today.
There are lots and lots of new low-carb blogs, baby, so let's share them now!
1.
2BLOWHARDS While not EXPLICITLY a "low-carb blog" per se, this one features the writings of the fictitious Michael Blowhard (described as the "media flunky and arts buff" in the Blowhard family) who has been known to write a few blog posts about saturated fat being healthy and low-carb being a pretty good option for people desiring weight and health improvements. Check it out and you can e-mail Michael at
michaelblowhard@gmail.com .
2.
LOW-CARB CRAIG Craig Graydon started livin' la vida low-carb in October 2007 and is committed to this way of eating fully. He's lost nearly 40 pounds in his first two months on a low-carb diet and often writes about the low-carb news and information he finds most interesting. You can encourage Craig in his weight loss journey by e-mailing him at
craig_graydon@comcast.net .
3.
EMZI'S LOW-CARB JOURNAL A 24-year old Hoosier resident named
Emily Green is using low-carb to help with her insulin resistance and she needs to lose weight to bring her condition under control. Follow Emzi along in this journey to better health and cheer her to excellence by sending her an e-mail at
emzi06@gmail.com .
4.
COMMON WOMAN Froilee from Santa Cruz, California shares her thoughts as a 47-year old "common woman" trying to live the low-carb life. With opinions that are all her own, you'll have fun reading what she has to share on this encouraging and uplifting blog!
5.
AB NORMAL'S RANTS AND RANDOMS Back in September 2007, I shared with you
an amazing low-carb weight loss transformation story of a 42-year old man named
Burton Brown from Salt Lake City, Utah. And I just discovered he has his own blog! There's not much there yet, but this official "loser" (of weight, that is!) will likely have a LOT to say, so check in early and often for Burton's "rants and randoms."
6.
CARB WARS Blog Judy Barnes Baker certainly needs no introduction to the low-carb community ever since the release of her fantastic low-carb cookbook this year called
CARB WARS: Sugar Is The New Fat . Although she created
a companion web site for her book , Judy wanted to connect with her readers even more with a blog--so here it is! I have no doubt you'll be treated to some yummy recipes for your low-carb lifestyle soon enough. :D
7.
MARGIN NOTES Casey Ellis is the author of this blog about the fine art of cooking. But just make sure you NEVER mention the word "peas" on her blog anywhere or you'll get three lashes with a wet noodle promptly! She offers a wide variety of recipes that are adaptable to your low-carb way of eating or fit perfectly. Try 'em sometime!
8.
ATKINS LOW CARB ORIGINAL 1970 DIET Paul Bain, Jr. just turned 50, but that has stopped him from making one of the biggest decisions of his life--getting his morbid obesity under control! This 450-pound Wisconsin native has embarked on a bona fide low-carb lifestyle change and nothing is gonna stand in the way of his success. His enthusiasm for the original Atkins diet is contagious and you can't help but want to see someone like this succeed. YOU CAN DO IT, PAUL!!!
9.
SHANE ELLISON While not a "blogger" as much as he is a commentator, Shane Ellison certainly has a lot to say about health and nutrition. His columns at the
News With Views web site have certainly stirred the pot on more than one occasion. You won't want to miss a single word this man has to say because he just makes a whole lotta sense.
10.
INDUSTRY FIGURE TOM CHAPPELL This is a very methodical blog by an introspective writer willing to pay meticulous attention to details to make sure it is as perfect as possible. That's Tom Chappell's way and the reader is the benefactor of that process. He doesn't exclusively write about obesity, diabetes, and nutrition--but when he does, you'll want to be paying attention! He's even got a series of posts looking at Gary Taubes'
Good Calories, Bad Calories that is absolutely fascinating!
11.
MY KITCHEN IS NOT YOUR LAB Well, there was a blog for this film about genetically-engineered food, but now it's gone. But I still want to tell you about it so you can be aware of this movie if it ever hits the big screen here in the United States.
Watch the trailer
to see why mass-produced food from factory farming has destroyed our food supply. I'd love to tell you more about the film as details are released, so stay tuned!
12.
CONDITIONING RESEARCH Are you a fitness buff? Then this blog is for you! Featuring diet and fitness-related blog posts for people desiring to build muscle and endurance, there's always something to read and apply to your routine to make your stronger and better than you were before. E-mail Chris your exercise questions at
chris@conditioningresearch.com .
13.
CONTROLLED-CARB KIDS Leave it to
"Weight Of The Evidence" blog writer Regina Wilshire to create a new blog devoted to helping implement a strategy for low-carb living with your children. Written in the same manner you have come to love and respect from her original low-carb blog, this one will zero in on the scientific data as it relates to carbohydrate restriction and children. When Regina Wilshire writes, it's well worth reading!
14.
PCOS PRIMER Speaking of
Regina Wilshire , she has also created ANOTHER new web site devoted to the condition known as Polycystic Ovary Syndrome, aka PCOS. This is a condition that is
known to be improved with a low-carb diet and yet this simple dietary solution to a very serious female health issue is summarily ignored by those health professionals who are supposed to be treating patients with PCOS. Regina, whose husband
Dr. Gil Wilshire is a reproductive endocrinologist, will keep you up-to-date on all the latest scientific research and information on this important subject!
Do you have a low-carb blog and would like to see it featured here at "Livin' La Vida Low-Carb?" It would be my privilege to share the work you are doing with my readers so they can glean from your experiences, too! Drop me an e-mail at
livinlowcarbman@charter.net with your blog's URL, a description of your blog, and anything else you'd like to share about it! Let me hear from you sometime and we'll give you some FREE PUBLICITY for your blog! :D
