Lacking Exercise, Lacking Energy

Mornin’ Bloggies! 

Lately, I haven’t wanted to get out of bed in the morning and in general my energy levels haven’t been what they usually are.  Got to thinking yesterday that this is the first time in a long time where I haven’t had some type of fitness goal.  Between my Mono/Virus Issues back in July, along with the heat & humidity in August, I really haven’t gotten that much exercise at all aside from a bit of walking, tennis and the odd time on the elliptical or treadmill.

Coincidence? I think not.   Other than the runner’s high, I never really noticed the positive effects of exercise until I had a stall in my routine.  Well enough is enough, the humidity is gone, it’s time to set a new exercise goal for the Fall.    My goal will be to get in exercise 5 days a week for at least 30 mins.   Simple, no?  Effective, yes!

Anyone else want to set a Fall Exercise Goal with me?

Life has been going fairly well lately, managed to stay totally OP eating within my 25 points. I used all of my WAP’s on the weekend so it’s been a bit challenging but so far so good.

Breaky was a terrific bowl of oats!  Organic oats made w/ 1/2 organic banana, 1 tsp chia seeds and 1/2 cup unsweetened vanilla almond breeze.

My mid-morning snack was another Cherry Dark Chocolate Kashi granola bar.

Lunch was one of my fav convenience meals, an Amy’s Bean & Cheese Burrito. With a side salad.

I did have a nectarine that I munched on in the truck but I was doing errands so didn’t bother to take a pic.  Got home and had a really productive evening.  Got my thank you notes for the auction done, tided the house, and got the kitchen spic and spam! Love the feeling of a clean house.  Plus I finally got caught up on the latest True Blood episode (!!!! OMG so awesome!) and the season finale of Nurse Jackie.  Love these shows!

Supper was the last of the fresh corn and some potatoes roasted on the BBQ.

The taters are simple to make and always a hit with J.  Simply dice your potatoes, place in mixing bowl, drizzle with a few tsps of olive oil, sprinkle with your favourite seasonings and mix.   Wrap potato's up in foil and BBQ on medium for 25-30 mins.  Mmm mmm, I sprinkled mine with a bit of parmesan and a drizzle of ketchup.

Dessert was a bowl of defrosted strawberries from our trip to Lesley’s farm back at the beginning of the summer.   Still so good! Oh an a quaker caramel chocolate chip rice cake too.
