I saw this Ready for Summer Challenge on Ruminations and Uncovering: Toward a New ME! blog and had to sign up!! I love challenges and this is exactly what I need! I had set a few goals for myself for my son's birthday party and this fits right in!! It is even better that my SIL Alana Jo is doing this with me!!
I need to set goals and record my progress along the way. Then I will share it on the challenge blog! So here goes!!
Weight loss: In the 10 weeks I will lose 20lbs. That is a 2lb a week loss. Surely I can handle that. This goals scares me because I have the hardest time shedding weight. I have started a new diet plan and meds for my thyroid and things seem to be going better. ***fingers crossed****
NSV (Non-Scale Victory): This goal to set is the easiest for me. I had a few things picked out to get done. My son is turning 17 (!!!!!) This summer and at his party there is going to be a huge 50ft rock wall! I want to climb that on July the 8th.
Exercise: My exercise goal is to follow and finish the Couch to 5k program. I love this program and from everyone says, it really does work! I can do that!
Nutrition: Like I said above, I have started a new diet plan. Because I have issues with my thyroid and pollycystic ovarian syndrome, the best diet plan for me is a low carb plan. I started last week and its going great. My goal is to stay true to the plan for my health as well as weight loss.
