When you can’t experience yourself as having the following, being able to soothe yourself, value yourself, love yourself, and have a solid sense of personal identity, you go in search of these functions—sometimes looking for other people to supply them for you and sometimes looking for them in filling-up activities like compulsive buying and eating to gain weight.
What you are trying to cure is feeling unstable.
If this is the case, then it is no wonder you are having difficulty losing weight.
