
6-7 months to lose 140 lbs is 20-23 lbs per month or at best, 4.66 lbs per week
That's a tall order.
It would depend on a number of factors
1. Your starting weight
2. How much time you have available to devote yourself to this task
3. Finances - money always makes things easier
4. Your devotion to the task - This is going to suck, big time. Are you willing to eat nothing except veggies (the broccoli type, not the potato type), non-processed protein, fish oils, various supplements, lots of water, etc...
I know this may be discouraging, but it is possible. I had a 550+ lb client, who dropped down to 280 over the period of 2 years. It came off very fast at the start...very fast
