I had the gastric bypass surgery on Oct. 5, 2010. That was 4 months ago. Every month until this month, I have lost 10lb. - 12lb. a month. This month, Feb. I only lost 4lb. I am baffled as to what it could be.
Scenario A: I am eating more and this is the slowing down of my weight loss. Doctors say that the weight loss tappers and you do not loose as much as you do in the beginning. I also eat very health and do not eat junk food or low nutrition foods. I cook so I know what goes in my food. Keep in mind I only eat 700 to 900 calories a day. I burn 500 to 600 calories a day working out at the YMCA.
Scenario B: I could be that I am gaining muscle mass. I am working out on the elliptical at the Y for 45 to 60 min. with a resistance of 6 may be my legs are bulking up. I also have been doing light weight lifting every day for my arms.
Scenario C: My body is in starvation mode and is holing onto fat because I am not eating enough calories to compensate for what I am burning en exorcise. I only eat 700 to 900 calories a day. I burn 500 to 600 calories a day working out at the YMCA.
Does any one have any advice or solution to my dilemma?
